1.  Participants must be 18 years or older.

​

2. Participating in the hunt is always 100% free to the public. No registration or payment is required.

​

3. Our treasures are never buried. You will never need a shovel, and you will never need to dismantle or unscrew anything. Do not damage landscaping, climb restricted structures, or break any property while searching.

​

4. Participants in the hunt may not enter restricted areas, employee only areas, or any other area that is otherwise off limits to the public.

​

5. Participants may not interfere with businesses on behalf of the hunt nor will you ever have to ask employees for help when the clue or treasure is located at a business.

​

6. Safety and respect are our top priorities. Any participant caught trespassing, causing property damage, breaking local laws, or violating these rules will be immediately disqualified and forfeit the prize, along with ineligibility for future hunts.

​

7. The winner is the first eligible person to physically find the hidden token. Inside, you will find specific instructions on how to verify your find with our team and claim your treasure.

​

8. If a clue leads you to a local business partner, you may only search during their posted public business hours.

​

9. You are welcome to hunt with a team, friends, or family! However, the treasure is awarded as a single payout to the one eligible person who officially verifies the final find and contacts us. How you split the cash with your team is entirely up to you.

​

10. If you find the treasure, you must follow the instructions inside to contact us immediately. This allows us to officially end the hunt and notify the rest of the community so people don't keep searching a location where the prize is already gone.

​

11. Safety comes first. Stark Treasure Hunt LLC reserves the right to pause, modify, or cancel a hunt at any time due to severe weather, safety concerns, crowd control issues, or at the request of the property owner.

​

12. In the event of a tie, dispute, or rule violation, all decisions made by Stark Treasure Hunt are final.

​

13. Each hunt will run for a limit of 30 days maximum. If at the end of the 30 day period the treasure has not been claimed, the treasure amount will roll over to be added onto the next month's treasure hunt. The rollover from month to month will continue until the treasure is found and claimed. The 30 day period starts exactly when the clues/riddles are posted for a hunt and expires 30 days after that posting at the same time of day.

14. Participants are encouraged but not required to film themselves hunting for the treasure. You can submit the footage to us via Facebook.

PARTICIPANT LIABILITY WAIVER, RELEASE, AND MEDIA CONSENT

By participating in the Stark Treasure Hunt, submitting video footage, or claiming a prize, you (the "Participant") agree to the following terms:

​

1. Acknowledgment and Assumption of Risk: I understand and acknowledge that participating in the Stark Treasure Hunt involves inherent physical and environmental risks. These risks include, but are not limited to: driving, navigating traffic, walking or running on uneven terrain, slips, trips, falls, exposure to unpredictable weather, interactions with the general public, and physical exertion. I acknowledge that I am voluntarily participating in this activity with full knowledge of the potential hazards, and I assume 100% of the risk of personal injury, illness, and property damage. I represent and warrant that I am at least eighteen (18) years of age, have the legal capacity to enter into this binding agreement, and am participating entirely of my own free will.

2. Complete Release of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by Ohio law, I hereby forever release, waive, and discharge Stark Treasure Hunt , its owners, officers, agents, contractors, sponsors, and any participating Host Businesses, Property Owners, or Municipalities (collectively, the "Released Parties") from any and all claims, demands, lawsuits, or causes of action arising from ordinary negligence that results in personal injury, property damage, or loss related to my participation in the hunt.

3. Adherence to Official Rules:  I confirm that I have read, understand, and agree to follow all Official Rules of the Stark Treasure Hunt. I specifically acknowledge that I will not trespass on private property, enter restricted areas, damage property, or dig/excavate at any location. I understand that violating these rules will result in immediate disqualification and forfeiture of any prize.

4. Media, Right of Publicity, and Copyright Release:  I grant Stark Treasure Hunt an absolute, irrevocable, worldwide, and royalty-free license to use, reproduce, edit, distribute, and monetize my image, likeness, voice, and any video or photographic footage I voluntarily submit to the company.
